Odin is a major god in Norse mythology and the ruler of Asgard. His name is related to ōðr, meaning "fury, excitation," besides "mind," or "poetry." His role, like that of many of the Norse gods, is complex. Odin is a principal member of the Æsir (the major group of the Norse pantheon) and is associated with war, battle, victory and death, but also wisdom, magic, poetry, prophecy, and the hunt. Odin has many sons, the most famous of whom is Thor. (Wikipedia says)
And c'mon, I know you imagine him as an old man, but he's a bad-ass Nordic god, he can appear as he likes
I like your vision of Odin ! I find that the choice of the model is very good: looks, outfit and attitude are fitting perfectly the purposes of the picture, power and mastery. I also love the idea of a "stream" of runes coming out of him, seemingly getting down to humanity. On the composition side, I appreciate the presence of the ravens, that are the usual companions of Odin. On the other hand, I find the rain and light that shines on Odin's chest are disturbing. But it is only because I am not aware of anything they would refer to ! Overall, this piece is an interesting look into the Norse Mythology, that shows a good knowledge of the topic as well as originality and creativity to make that vision the artist's own one.
